See what families in the community are saying
"We've always enjoyed Shadow Creek Soccer. The league is convenient to our home and always well organized, and our boys have a blast!" - Bart Miller
"We've been participating for the past 4-5 years and this is without question one of the best rec sports programs for kids in the greater Houston metro area. The program has gotten better each and every year and new families and their children will only benefit even more than we have. Our girls have really enjoyed participating, developing a love for sports and building new friendships that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. For families, this has been a wonderful means of building a stronger sense of community. Shadow Creek and greater Pearland families are privileged to have such a great sports program right here in our back yard. "
"Our children have enjoyed playing soccer with the Shadowcreek soccer league for the last 4 years. The atmosphere is more focus on the kids learning soccer and less on competitiveness. Which at the earlier years makes the games more enjoyable for the players. Additionally the fact that it is one day a week of practice and a game on the weekend helps balance the schedule for the children's other activities." - Robert
"Our daughters have been playing in the Shadow Creek Soccer league for five years since they were 4 and have loved it. The league offers a fun, supportive environment for kids to learn how to play soccer, and we have enjoyed the positive environment at practices and games. Volunteer coaches also do a great job building kids skills while having a great time. - Alex Robinson
"Shadow Creek Soccer Club was the perfect fit for our family. There is a wonderful sense of community, tremendous soccer development and most importantly a true emphasis on enjoying the game of soccer. Being able to see all our friends and neighbors at the fields on Saturday was one of the highlights of our week. The atmosphere at SCSC is fantastic. Our family could not have asked for more from a youth soccer club.
Thank you Shadow Creek Soccer Club."

“My wife and I are the proud parents of three boys. Before Shallow Creek Sports, if our boys had it their way, they would have stayed indoors all day and played video games. We would travel over 20 miles to League City and Pearland Recreation Centers to sign them up for sports activities to keep them active. Shadow Creek Sports provides a means to get them outside to get some exercise right within their own neighborhood. Our boys were part of the original 24 kids that started Shadow Creek Soccer. As our boys are growing up, we've also watched the Shadow Creek Sports Program grow tremendously. The best part of the program is the volunteer commitment – from the parent coaches, to the volunteer coaching clinics offered by the Houston Dynamo, and not to forget that Shadow Creek Sports provides income and purpose to teenagers by hiring them to be referees. Our sons now not only play soccer, but participate in ShadowCreek basketball and swimming as well. We hope one day they will add flag football. Ted and his family were God sent. We will continue to pray for even further growth of the Shadow Creek Sports Program.” - The Etheridge Family
“Positive encouragement, fair play, teamwork and kids having fun. These are just a couple of reasons why we have been with Shadowcreek sports for 4 seasons. My son loves to meet new friends who are silly and cheer him on. The parents are respectful and also encourage other players. I recommend SCsports.”
"My daughter, who is currently 9, really enjoys playing in the SCR soccer club. She started when she was 5 and kept asking me to sign her up. The best part is that she gets to play with friends from her school and also gets to meet with new friends in the neighborhood. There is no pressure except for having fun. All the parents coaches we have had in the past enforce equal play and are very good in helping kids of all levels of ability to improve their playing skills." - Jane
"The organization is kid friendly. Great communication and the location is perfect. The kids are learning the game in a great environment. It is not over competitive but yet it is intense. Sportsmanship is taught and retaught. Too many groups are specialized in one sport at a very young age. We are excited about several sports to compete to get a complete all around athlete."
"We have had our two sons in SCR soccer for two years, and look forward to our daughter being old enough to participate. There is a wonderful sense of community and sportsmanship on the fields on game day, and we always make friends on our teams. It has been the right way to introduce our kids to soccer.
Thanks so much." - Philip
"We have played with Shadow Creek Soccer since Spring 2010. It is a great program that offers local practices, local games and a predictable schedule all while keeping a quality soccer program." - Kathryn Wright
"My kids are grown now, but when they played that was our best memory. Thank you guys you done best job." - Melaku and the kids
"The swimming schedule of classes was very convenient, duration of each session was perfect, my daughter had a blast while getting excellent instructions and doing awesome work out. Price was much lower than anywhere else and for the quality, quantity, schedule and location it is a bargain. We are eager for next summer season to start!!!" Luis & Camila Medina
"I learned about the Shadow Creek Swim Team just this summer from our neighbor, and signed up my daughter. I was VERY impressed with the way the coaches lead the practices. They teach all strokes and have the kids swim lap after lap, and my daughter always came back hungry, which indicates that the practices REALLY make you exercise (though in a friendly atmosphere and NOT in a competitive manner). They also take the kids to the deep side every now and then, and make them do intervals of on/off the wall, which is great not only for developing endurance, but also for learning survival skills. And I really appreciate that they keep their fee low to make it affordable for a wide range of people.
So watching kids swim for an hour, up to four days a week (you can come to any/all practices), I was so motivated and asked the owner/head coach Ted if he would consider teaching adults how to swim. He said that was something he had been thinking about and would be fun, and at the end of the summer, he offered an adult lane for three days. Before I showed up, I could barely swim 25 yards with the freestyle then I'd be out of breath for a long time. Breast stroke was a joke; I could go probably about 10 yards before I sank. Butterfly, I would not even dream of trying. During those three days, Ted was also coaching kids, but he offered me a few valuable tips which made night-and-day differences in stroke efficiencies. After three days, I was able to swim 25 yards straight, with ALL strokes (yes, even the butterfly!!). Now, that tells you what an excellent swim coach Ted is!"
I can't wait for the swim team to start again next summer!
