Game Rules

U5-U6

Play 3v3
Ball size #3
4 – 8-minute quarters
50% play rule: every player must play at least 50% of the game.

Play 4v4
Ball size #3
4 – 10-minute quarters
Goal kicks – defensive team must back up to the circle
50% play rule: every player must play at least 50% of the game.

U10-U16*

Play 7v7, 8v8, 9v9
Ball size #4 U10-U12
Ball size #5 U16
2 - 30-minute halves
No punts allowed – defense must move back to circle. Keeper rolls out to side.
Goalkeeper rule: no player can play more than 50% of game as goalie. If a player is goalie for 50% of the game, the player must play the remaining 50% of the game as a field player without being substituted.
50% play rule: every player must play at least 50% of the game.

U16 Girls

Play 4v4, 5v5
Ball size #5
2 - 30-minute halves
No keepers • 30x50 field. • 50% play rule: every player must play at least 50% of the game.

Rainouts:

In the event of heavy rain on Friday or Saturday morning, necessitating a potential cancellation of games, an email notification will be sent to all families by 7:30 am Saturday morning.
If a rainout occurs, the game scheduled for that week will be rescheduled for the earliest available rainout date.

Raining without thunder:

Games will proceed as scheduled in light rain conditions.
In the case of medium rain and if there have already been two rainouts, games will still be played.

Lightning safety:

If lightning is observed within 10 miles of the field, all participants must seek shelter in their vehicles immediately. Play will only resume 30 minutes after the last instance of thunder.
If thunder persists for more than 30 minutes during scheduled game time, games will be canceled.
To monitor lightning proximity, families are encouraged to check the WEATHERBUG app.
Safety reminder: Lightning poses a serious risk, and it is imperative to vacate the field during thunderstorms.

Final Game Note: Coaches are reminded return coaching equipment. U5-U10 exchange your coaching bag and goals for team trophies at the table by field entrance. U12 and U16 bring coaching equipment to the Pavilion. Remember to place any unused jerseys back in the coaching bag.
